Eyecult (Sweden)

T: Eyecult is a band of two members Andreas (Drums) and Patrik (Guitar, Bass and Vocals) is the same training as your other band Anachronaeon? Why Eyecult? which means?

Patrik: Eyecult is basically all about the black metal culture. I like everything about the aesthetic expression of the music. It is also pronounced "I-cult" as in the traditional sense of the satanist/individualist. However none of us are satanists, but we are anti flock behaviour and we believe that no one can tell another person what to believe. People who are satanists and label themself that are also conforming.

T: I'm listening to the CD "Morituri Te Salutamus" and is truly very good Black Metal is fast and energetic.

Patrik: Thanks!

T: The lyrics and music are created many years ago why wait so long to record, mix and make the letters is also a studio band right? In all that time that you take many things change I guess looking for perfection?

Patrik: Yeah, Eyecult is also a studio band. We started this album, and then I became a father for the second time, so we put everything on ice, recorded an Anachronaeon album in between, and then we returned to this album and finished it. Lyrics-wise I had to apply the black metal tradition through my own interpretation so I put a lot of time into the lyrics. Misanthropy is the main theme.

T: The cover of the CD. "Morituri Te Salutamus" What do they talk the songs you explain to us something

Patrik: Morituri te salutamus can be translated to "The about to die, we salute you", and we're all dying, that's why death is on the cover.

T: You are former members of Eternally Devoured (Thrash Metal) and Human Failure (Death Metal) change the name to Anachronaeon.

Patrik: Only "Human Failure" is really related to Anachronaeon, since it is the band that Andreas and I were the only one's in. But we played together with other people in Eternally Devoured. That was a long time ago.

T: What it is like working with Ewiges Eis Records ?

Patrik: Don't really know. We are not working with them anymore, and really we only had contact with them for a week, released the album, then he stopped responding to our e-mails. That's apparantly how he work, a friend of mine's band was treated the same way. We didn't sign a contract or anything, so anyone who wants to release Eyecult can do so.

T: We will have new material soon or wait Eyecult few years hence that the delay is because if you already have the items made? and label.

Patrik: First we finish the Anachronaeon album that is in progress, then we shall return to
Eyecult. Lots of songs are already written and cover art and lyrics are complete.

T: What are your favorite bands and and bands you think have influenced the creation of your band Eyecult?

Patrik: Dark Funeral, Infernal, Dissection, 1349, Naglfar, Mörk Gryning, Emperor, Sirius, Liar of Golgotha, Averse Sefira, the list is very extensive.

T: Have you appeared in any compilation of your country and around the world?

Patrik: We have been on two so far. Check our facebook page for more info, since I can only remember one right now: Metal Delirium's Standing Stout.

T: Eyecult Split CD has made or is there any plans to do so with such good material?

Patrik: Only loose plans right now... to do something with Matias Autio and Dødkvlt in the future.

T: Are you preparing new material? We can advance some comment?

Patrik: The new material will not be exactly like the old stuff, we are trying to thing a little more outside the box, but still keep tradition according to speed and production. That's all I can say.

T: Anything else you want to add to The Legion Of Tchort? where we can get your merchandise?

Patrik: Thanks for your time bro! You can't get any merch right now. Maybe if people keep asking us, we can setup a shop.

Anachronaeon (Sweden)

T: Why Anachronaeon? which means?

P: It's a combination of the words "anachronism" and "aeon", combined they stand for everything that is wrong with the times in which we live. With all the knowledge we have, mankind still has not evolved further than this. Still religion entraps millions of people, people get fatter and fatter even though they are more informed of nutrition than ever, and we still treat each other like shit, there's always a war going on somewhere on the planet and cash is king. The best of worlds? I don't think so.

T: The CD. "The Futile Quest for Immortality" is very time-creation process many different years for the lyrics and music, then mixing some explanation?

P: Yeah, that's a easy one to explain, since some of the songs I had written a few years ago... with a little tweaking and re-arrangements they fit Anachronaeon perfectly. Some of the lyrics were complete as well, and some needed total rewrite.

T: The cover of the CD. "The Futile Quest for Immortality" which represents?

P: It is a visual of the opening track, about the parallel between medieval tyrant rulers and corporate vice presidents. It's all about how many you run over to achieve your goals, but in the end nothing lasts forever. Once the sun dies down everything mankind has created is meaningless. Who knows how many civilizations that has risen and then fallen into oblivion through the existence of the universe? Mankind is but a drip in the ocean of eternity.

T: In the CD. "The Futile Quest for Immortality" songs have created over the years of your previous works such as the CD. "As the Last Human Spot in Me Dies" and CD. "The New Dawn" why not go in them?

P: Because the songs did not fit those other albums. "As the last human spot in me dies" was written in a sweep, as well as "The New Dawn", so it's as simple as that.

T: Anachronaeon is a studio band, you play the guitar, bass and voice bundles, Andreas is the drummer, perhaps in the future to invite members of other bands to record and maybe to play live?

P: As of now we don't even have a rehearsal place. We record in what we call "The Anachronaeon Lair", a regular room. We couldn't even fit one more person in there hehe. We are talking about maybe getting a real rehearsal place, and if the right persons pop up, who knows? Maybe. In the creative process though, we have no need for another person or will. We know exactly in what direction Anachronaeon is heading, so for creative reasons we don't need another person.

T: What it is like working with Stygyan Crypt Productions? supports the dissemination of material?

P: Stygian Crypt and Andrew are stable. No fuss, he always keeps his word and answer any stupid question I throw at him. I think we have a working relation business-wise, and he's always liked what we do. The only minus I have about Stygian is that they have kind of a small budget, so everything takes time. But really, we are in no rush with anything, so...

T: Are you preparing new material? We can advance some comment?

P: We are recording the follow up to the soon-to-be-released "The Ethereal Throne", which will be entitled "The Oracle and the Keyholder"... it's about aging and death with a psychological angle of course, Anachronaeon style. It is a little more ethereal if I have to use a word to describe it, with small influences of Nevermore and Alcest in some parts, mangled through the Anachronaeon filter. I am very pleased to what we have done so far. Andreas drumming is more playful compared to previous releases as well.

T: If you had the choice between your two bands Eyecult and Anachronaeon what would be your priority?

P: Anachronaeon without a doubt. I can do anything there. Eyecult is more like shutting yourself in a little box, and follow tradition in a sense creatively. It's more limited, but still cool to play of course.

T: Sweden is talking about hundreds of death metal bands and still preserved the scene there?

P: Yeah, there's always something new coming along. New bands are born everyday, it's hard to keep up, but then again I'm not 18 anymore haha!

T: What are your favorite bands and that kind of music you listen to usually?

P: I'm going through waves, and it's constantly changing. In the winter I listen more to black metal than anything. In the autumn I go more for the atmospheric melodic. Right now I listen to Anachronaeon - The Ethereal Throne, Warrel Dane's solo album, Nevermore, Alcest, Death, Decrepit Birth, Dream Theater, Therion and such.

T: If you had the opportunity to join your band with session musicians for a concert with bands that you would like to play?

P: Yeah, like I said, if the timing is right, sure! I like to play live, but I need to be
really well prepared.

T: Anything else you want to add to The Legion Of Tchort? where we can get your merchandise?

P: Thanks for the interview man, and thanks for the support, and all of you guys reading this - check us out! You wanna get merch? Enter http://www.anachronaeon.com and click the button "Look better with Anachronaeon". Or you join our facebook-page which has a spreadshirt shop integrated there.

Demorian (Sweden)

T: I Listen and Listen the CD of Demorian “Back to The Glorious Past” one of my favorites bands like Abrahel - "Abrahel" is excellent the music and lyrics.
T: You have many logos of Demorian but which are the official Tony?

Tony: We have a couple that we have used and also still uses also sometimes, but the official one now is that one we have on the cover of our ep/single "Before All Ends" that is free and came out in december 2009. The man who did that logo is a german design/graphic guy that also have made some logos for the label I also runs.

T: Why use the cover of “Christ Of Evil” in your press Cd “Back To The Glorious Past”?

Tony: We thought it fitted perfect with the other artwork on the album and in fact that picture is made by a norwegian artist back in 2007.
But we lost the contact with him after the second demo with the band, to sad.

T: I publish in The Legion Of TchorT Compilation #2 the song “My Beloved My Beheaded” is it only for the Compilation?

Tony: This far the track "My Beloved My Beheaded" has only been on your compilation, but we plan in fact of do a new re-edit version with new voclas for it for maybe something else soon. That song is in fact our most played ones on our site on MySpace now and that is fun. So we believe that it has something special to bring and it is raw, dark and melodical at the same time.

T: Wintercold, Back To Odin's Land, Hate My God, One With The World are only 4 old songs for coming in this new Cd. “Back To the Glorious Past”

Tony: Yeah, and the album is more than less old now after the release too, haha. The plan was that the album was meant to came out in april/may 2008 first.
But got delays all the time, but something that happens sometimes. And all tracks on it is more than less recorded in 2007 and early 2008, but as it was delayed we fixed in one newer track as a bonus on it right sometime before the final release. But the album is a bit wrong, that maybe some guys have noticed?! Haha, and that is on the end where the bonus was planned, it is instead the outro and as track 12 the bonus is, haha. Culty maybe?

T: I read all letters of your songs and tell about the Ancient Viking Culture, Death and False God is the line of the lyrics?

Tony: Mostly our lyrics is about old history, ancient life and gods and in the first place old ancient northern gods, but we also have other subjects as we dont really wanna just follow one way in it. The lyrics is also sometimes about our hate against god, Jesus, religious madness, depressive things, wars, maniacs and also demoniac things as you can hear a bit in our track "Emily", hehe. And also the track "Hate My God" is a real spit and puke in the face of our little saviour, fuck the man on cross. I left the church in the 80s and do not regret it, haha. None of us in the band calls ourselves satanists really, but we are against god and all what it stands for!!

T: I listen and Read Lyrics of “The Rising” is a Tribute for your old Warrios and God Odin?

Tony: Yes it is in a way. But nothing really that we are religious or so, but we believe that back in time many people all over the world already had their gods.
And then not just particular only sweden or other northern countries. But then all over world came the christian crusaders and forced all to change side, otherwise many losted their heads!! And christianity stands for more killing than many others do in fact! If you really read the history the facts is there.

T: If possible comment more about who is “Emily”? here the voice is great!

Tony: The track "Emily" that also is one of our first made is about the real Emily Rose that it also exists a movie on. But this is more as a tribute and a sort of memorial for her. As she was never really understanded by psychic and doctors, if people had used their mind better it maybe would not have happened?

T: Tell me more about your lyrics are very cool: Hymn of the true warriors, exorcism, evidence if god exists, the vikings came to Orkney Islands, Culture Celta with Scandinavia, Ancient times of the Viking Culture, War in year 1263, Battle in the land of Snow and Ice, dirty god, swords, Valkyries, Valhalla, Nordic mythology.

Tony: I can just speak for myself here and that is because my deep interest of old history, culture, gods, mythology and all around it since really early age.
And that also includes occult things and paganism. My interest for this is more intersting than the todays corrupted and sick world. If hell does not exists with fire and demons, we probably already are there.

T: So the Style is very special synth, samples, programming, keyboards… Very complex but solid good. What think Tony?

Tony: All is influnces and inspirations that both me and alltears have carried together since the 80s. We both have played in several bands and mostly together too. And we have played both punk, speed, thrash, grindcore, goth, viking rock, doom, oi, death and the list goes on...So it fells naturally that we have a big wide spectra in our sound and music. And we also brings in little of newer sound too as industry sound and that, but still we play what we do. We follow our own path.

T: Split “Unholy Trinity - Thy Gathering I” with Kvlt666 Prod. From Malasya And now with Azermedoth Rec. from México Together with Salute Rec. from Sweden your Label.

Tony: Just one answer there, we are independent and will probably stay that way. We also have a american label intersted in us now too, haha.

T: How going your great label that support free bands of many Unknown scenes and new bands in plans?

Tony: It has been a real good year in 2009, but also one of my worst ones too. Two near and very close friends passed away and that made some marks amd holes in me. Unfortunaly it nearly made me to close all working, both with bands and label. But thanks to a great support from many "real" friends all over the world I dragged
myself up finally and kept on rolling and now in 2010 I feel that I got new strength and power. And I have worked and works with so many great underground bands that really deserves better than just been played on My Space and be downloaded I think. So there I really try my best to figure as a link for them. Some calls me their
manager in fact and that is of course an honour, but in the first place I do all this cause my burning love for music cannot be stopped. And I have it also as an hobbie, but at the same time it is also like a fulltime job. Even it can be rough and hectic, I love it. Bands that I have worked with now lately and still is on my label is Deona Cart Deluna(Malaysia), Impromtus Ad Mortem(Col), Grom02(Cro), Sacrilego(Mex), Freezing Moon(Iran), Al Black(Italy) and Necromanteion(South Africa) to mention some... I also after much problems with some persons and bands during my work on the label decided to also start up a "sublabel" or more like a shadow for Salute Records. So the work goes on...

T: Tony tell me more about how the hellbangers can obtain the merchandise Cd and Tshirt and Any Last Word fo the The legion Of TchorT?

Tony: To get in touch with us and for buy T-shirts, cds, tapes and pins with Demorian or for possible reviews and interviews. All can of course write to my label or to some of our email adresses. Or also people can get in touch with you as you are like a helping hand for us in peru and the area around there. After this is written we also have a new tape/ep out on a malaysian label that also soon is available from us and my label. Thanks for this interview brother, very appreciated. And also a big thanks to all bangers of all kinds out there and all over the world. Keep support your local bands in your area and stay underground. And all out there....you are your own god, none can sits on us!!!
Hails & Salutes.....Satanic tony & Alltears/Demorian

T: Thanks To you My Big Brother We are ever The Legion and have all my Support!!

Wintercold (Sweden)

T: Hail Tony! Tell Me about since your are in the music and you have tons of bands like Wintercold?

Satanic Tony: I have been active in music since 1981, when I used to play in my first punk band then. Yes I am old, haha. I have been active in several bands during all years and some of them is also still alive more than less. The first time I really started with metal was around late 1985 and 1986, then with my first black metal band Equinox. And today I am also active in some bands and projects, then I have lots of contacts today, thanks to my label activity in salute records. And wintercold was one of the earlier productions I made on the label last year.

T: I listen bands like Wintercold, Demorian, Pazuzu, and others, tell me what was your first band? And how many band have?

Satanic Tony: Wintercold is a result of many kinds of ideas I have got during many years of thinking and planning. And beside of that, I have been active and played in bands like Obey, Killteam, Corpestor, Tragic Serenade, Tales, Exotic Flower, No Agony, Demented, Cryptic Death, Distraught, Pazuzu and many more. The first band for me was Teenage Suicide in 1981! But back then it was more traditional old punk. Today I am active in my three bands/projects Demorian, Wintercold and Camazotz + some other bands also that is more secret yet, but maybe comes out!?

T: You are from Sweden the Country of the tons of Death Metal Bands, you remember it the members of the bands played in 4 bands wow.

Satanic Tony: Yes here we have got many great bands and acts during all years, all back in the 80´s. One of the first raw and extremer metal bands here was in fact a band called Third Storm that was active around 85/86. They sounded as a mix between Hellhammer and Necrophagia and were from a town called Uppsala. Then all great bands like Grave, Midas Touch, Rivers Edge, Nihilist (Entombed), Afflicted Convulsion, Necromanser, Persecution, Harvey Wallbanger, Wombbath, In Thy Dreams, Metal Militia, Obscurity and tons of more.

T: The Most and the best band in your country you think that was Dissection? Or Morbid when singer Dead. (Old School for Old readers)

Satanic Tony: Dissection is and will always be one of the best former/earlier bands in Sweden when it comes to brutal and raw death/black metal I think! But bands I also thinks that we not have to forget is Bathory that have meant so much for bands today and bands that comes! One other band that I think is brilliant, but was from Norway is of course Burzum. Bands like those makes a sign always in the metal world!

T: Wintercold out by your label Salute Records in Lighstscribe, how many copies of “Beyond Darkness And Evil” you do for promotion? You not signed for any label. Not have offert?
Satanic Tony: Wintercold debut album/demo was made in only 30 copies on lightscribe and will probably never be remaked!? It includes 10 tracks of pure dark and gothic evil I think! As I have so many influences I always brings some parts of all in my music. And there for the type of dark metal Wintercold is. And Wintercold have no signing to any other label beside on my own. But if anyone gets interested so maybe? The debut album I made last year have in fact reached a sort of cult name around the globe today and that is real cool. Wintercold is a band/project that will always be around that long as I am alive!

T: I like your Style very doom tempo metal, you have any favorites bands that influences the style of Wintercold?

Satanic Tony: First I can tell you that much of the inspirations is from doom metal. But then I mix it with some pagan, goth and black metal. All to make it sound as Wintercold! In the earlier 90´s I used to play in a doom/death band called Tragic Serenade and much of the roots is still from there also today. My most important influences I got is nature, darkness, depression, life, war. Then bands that influences me is Bathory, Count Raven, Saint Vitus, Warning, Kyuss, Nokturnal Mortum, Burzum, Obsessed, Hellhammer, Black Sabbath, Cathedral and a lots more.

T: You have a Label “Salute Records” Total Underground Support, tell me more about it, your realeses and how the headbangers Buy it?

Satanic Tony: Yes it´s true. Salute records was started up in December 2007 as a way to do what interests me most beside of my family. And that is music/metal. The first releases was in early 2008 a compilation album that was made in 120 copies “Black Pagan Death Salute Vol.1” and an ep/mcd with the south African black metal act Frozenpath. Later also a debut album was made with the croatian dark metal band Grom (Grom02). Also a re-issue was made with the pagan/black metal band Blood Of Kingu from Colombia then. And of course later on the debut with Wintercold. After that much have been happened. The label I started up was more meant as a hobbie, but has grown true larger since a year back and still does. And today we have made around 50 releases, both on tape and cd format. And all bands that is more than less listed/signed on the label cannot be mention here as it is to many, haha. I am mostly interested in black and death metal bands, but also other styles interests me too. As long it is not christian messages in the music as I am totally against those fuckers. All can buy from the label, both paypal users and money well hidden to my address works as a payment. Some releases that is planned now for the nearest future is albums with Khashm (Ru), Nocra (Ru), Kay Pacha (Peru), Non Serviam (Peru) and a bunch more.

T: Who was doing the song writing and of what tell?

Satanic Tony: All lyrics in Wintercold is written by me and is about topics as war, life, evil, religion, depressions, nature, ancestors and all that makes me wanna write someting that influence me!

T: Where did you records your “Beyond Darkness And Evil” ( Why Darkness and not Darkness)

Satanic Tony: All music is recorded in my home, mostly during late nights as it inspire me most always. And a secret to tell is that I using an old guitar “Session” and the michrophone is from the late 60´s, hehe..A way to get an own sound maybe? The title of the album tells for it self I think. There is no god, there is no goodness. Pure dark, pure evil, pure hate. All is in our world!

T: Tony, now in the 2009 how is the scene in your country, are more active like 1990?

Satanic Tony: Both yes and no I think? Back in the 90´s the scene was real good. And bands was born like mushrooms and never ended we thought? But sadly during some years the scene changed and many bands disappeared and just ended. But now today I think the scene has grown again, just one sad thing is that many, many bands just plays like others do and sounded! And it is too few bands that make an own way and do their own style of metal these days. Many is into the profit ways and wants to play black metal or death for money and become famous of it! And such bands is only sad to hear about. And sad is also that many labels runs in the same way too, but we can all hope that they disappear soon and never rises again!? Hails to all true metal bands whatever it is! Dark is true..

T: What are some of the big shows that you guys have played together?

Satanic Tony: Hehe, no shows. It will never be as Wintercold is just one person, it could never happen! But anyway I guess it would be great!

T: Any Last Words of Our reader’s Tony?

Satanic Tony: First I want to say a big thanks to one of my best supporters, TchorT! And for this interview. And a big hello and hail goes to the whole worlds metal maniacs and for all that supports the underground and Wintercold! Regards to you all...Satanic Tony/Wintercold 2009

T: Thanks To you Brother Tony for all Support in this years!
