Scalped is a Death Metal band founded in 2012 in the capital of Minas Gerais, the legendary Belo Horizonte, cradle of internationally known bands of extreme metal. In 2014 released its first record, an EP entitled Psychopath, featuring five tracks of the purest Death Metal . With the great repercussion at the national level of Psychopath, the band had passes through the stages of the entire southeast region (ES, MG, RJ and SP), divided the stage with names of weight of the national scene as Ratos de Porão, Rebaelliun, Krisiun, Chaos Synopsis and also did the opening concert of the American band Vital Remains. On December 25, 2017, the first Full Length of Scalped was released, featuring Synchronicity of Autophagic Hedonism, the band's new mass destruction tool, which is already releasing the CD and demonstrating that Belo Horizonte is still a great exponent of extreme metal . Scalped é uma banda de Death Metal fundada no ano de 2012 na capital mineira, a lendária Belo Horizonte, berço de bandas internacionalmente conhecidas do metal extremo Em 2014 lançou seu primeiro registro, um EP intitulado Psychopath, contando com cinco faixas do mais puro Death Metal. Com a ótima repercusão em nível nacional de Psychopath, a banda teve passagens pelos palcos de toda a região sudeste (ES, MG, RJ e SP), dividiu o palco com nomes de peso da cena nacional como Ratos de Porão, Rebaelliun, Krisiun, Chaos Synopsis e também fez o show de abertura da banda estadunidense Vital Remains. No dia 25/12/2017 é lançado o primeiro Full Length do Scalped que apresenta Synchronicity of Autophagic Hedonism, nova ferramenta de destruição em massa da banda, que já está divulgando o Cd e demonstrando que Belo Horizonte ainda é um grande expoente do metal extremo. Producción algo antigua pero no por eso deja de ser interesante y merece la atención de los adictos al metal negro. Esta banda me trae muchos recuerdos a los primeros discos de LUXURIA DE LILITH, banda proveniente de BRASIL también. Donde priorizan los  trabajo cargados de melodías tétricas con muchos sonidos de sintetizadores, y las guitarras trabajando a mil, con ritmos cadenciados, de medio tiempo y rápidos, con armonias punzantes de mucha energía, sonidos extremos de profunda oscuridad. A veces sonando a LUXURIA DE LILITH mezclada con DIMMU BORGIR de la primera época. Musicalmente se podría titular como opera black metal sin tenor obviamente hablando por el lado musical. El guitarrista ha hecho un gran trabajo en la creación de riffs que unidos al excelente tecladista han creado temas como MAGO, VOLUPIA, AEON entre otros que hacen de este CD una pequeña obra maestra del black metal sinfónico. Para los amantes de este estilo es de urgencia conseguir este material, sinceramente me lleno los oídos y lo escuche muchas veces y no me canse, grande!.

Este es el tipo de producciones que me gustan por la mezcla de estilos dentro de un compilado, que puedes llevarlo en tu coche, en tu cd player y colocarlo a todo volumen y la variedad hara tu viaje más viable. Este compilado trae exclusivamente bandas brasileras y es una magnífica oportunidad para que puedas conocer más acerca del sonido y potencia de esta gran escena. El CD empieza con IMPERIOUS MALEVOLENCE que hace un death metal muy tirado al sonido de INCANTATION, excelente, seguido con IMPERADOR BELIAL de excelente black metal mid tempo con quiebres rapidos, de muy buen trabajo en la concepción del tema, algo simple de unos pocos cambios de ritmo pero muy efectivos. BLASPHEMICAL PROCREATION otra de las mejores bandas de este compilado, practica un Black metal típico, crudo y violento, de intensos riffs, de voz más gutural una mezcla de MAYHEM con death metal. INHUMAN RITES otra horda violentísima de death/black metal. Ultra rápido, muy parecido a CONQUEROR/RAEBELLIUM, imaginarse esa mezcla de poderosa fusión de metal ya deja a uno perplejo. IMPACTO PROFANO otra banda de black /death metal de gran factura, con ritmos armonicos del inicio pasando a black /death metal clásico y de ritmos rapidos, muy bueno. CONSPIRACY 666 otra maravillosa banda de black metal clásico, con mucha melodía en vocales que se unen perfectamente con los riffs y los cambios precisos de ritmo de rápidoa medio tiempo, otra de las mejores bandas de este excelente compilado. CHEMICAL DISASTER banda con gran tiempo dentro de la escena con un estilo enmarcado en el death metal, de propia marca, con grandes quiebres, solo’s y leads de guitarras, muy influenciado en los 80’s, excelente. GESTOS GROSSEIROS mas death metal, esta vez en extreme death metal más gutural basado en clásico extreme death metal mucha rapidez y algún típico cambio de ritmo medio tiempo. GOREMPIRE, otra banda más de clásico death metal ultra rápido a la KRISIUN/RAEBELLIUM, excelente. NECROBSCURE, death metal entre NECROVORE con mucho de sonido brasilero, ambas mezcla hacen de este banda interesantísima, una de las promesas del death metal para mi gusto, con un sonido muy 80’s , puro death metal. PRELLUDE heavy/speed metal cantando en PORTUGUES algo a lo COMANDO NUCLEAR/ con clásico heavy metal brasilero 80’s. ANTROFORCE heavy/power/speed metal de típico sonido brasilero 80’s, simple de medio tiempo a speed metal y algo de heavy metal francés como ADX/ KILLERS. CREPUSCULO DOS IDOLOS, black metal a lo DIMMU BORGIR/LUXURIA DE LILITH muy interesante. TOVQUEREM caótico black metal, rápido con algunas variantes de ritmo muy crudo. MORK WISDOM rápido black metal con mucho misticismo que le aporta los teclados con buenos cambios de ritmos y un estilo de black metal más complejo al mezclar sonidos del estilo brasilero, griego y algo del nórdico, pero en su mayoría suena a BRASIL. Muy buena banda, otra de las mejores en este compilado. Para cerrar el compilado esta SODOMAHORDE, esta banda es la más baja en el compilado caótico/dismalblack metal, con poca experiencia de mal sonido y de baja calidad al ejecutar sus instrumentos. Algunos temas están mal grabados, pero eso no deja de hacer esta producción una excelente muestra del poder del metal brasilero.

In previous issues I’ve had the opportunity to review the ‘GARDEN OF FORGOTTEN SHADOWS’- CD-R and the first album of them called ‘KULT OF DEMENTIA’. And without doubt the band present us a big evolution to previous works, and have made great steps in their musical evolution , But in my personal point of view they have lost certain sound underground to give a breath to modern DEATH METAL. Clearly a death metal more crude to be more or soft. ‘ART OF KILLING’ is a great work with very good recording sound, where each track have perfect combinations of parts fast, death metal riffs that join in very good guitars solo’s, Giving lessons of how can be mixed a conventional death metal, brutal death metal and new technical death metal, as well should I call to a current which is more that just as this band you have added these touches of fresh rhythms that other bands of metal music that is not death metal have, thus changing the aesthetics of the tracks. CHAOS SYNOPSIS, is a typical DEATH METAL band in essence, much more modern than usual death metal bands with high level of professionals who know where they want to be as a band and this album I think that the catapult more in the top of the bands that usually the common mean you want to hear. The tracks are all without exception have great develop of their musicians, all are playing perfectly, and gives the listeners the perception of being a European or North American band without any problem, but In my point of view they have loss mysticism of pure death metal as must sound…Nowadays the mainly of bands are trying only to improve but they diverge from the primal sound, perhaps the old guys don't let our music that we started to go beyond ... perhaps… This is for the new generation of Death metal bangers …A work that rises in quality but loses in meaning underground.

Bloody Violence - Divine Vermifuge It’s very VERY technical brutal Death Metal stuff!!! It can smash your brain I mean it! The guitar work is in the first place here. In all tracks it’s sweeping over and over again and only sometimes changing into groovy riffs. Bass also follows guitar as well but it has the second role here. Vocal is also good though typical for brutal Death: it is low growling and guttural sometimes changing into scream. For sure “Divine Vermifuge” is very strong and interesting release but I permanently felt a lack of fat in sound probably because of only one guitar playing sweeps permanently. However it’s a matter of taste.
