Inhibitions (Greece)

Inhibitions (Greece)
CD."With The Fullmoon Above My Head"

Inhibitions, powerful black metal that arrives to set precedents for the cusps of the darker style of our beloved metal. "With The Fullmoon Above My Head" was released on June 28, 2019 and it is a great album that we are presented below and I have the honor to break down below. 9 songs full of anger and total domination, atmospheric and brutal, its black metal also with raw accents, focusing its sound on the melancholy formed largely by the riffs of its guitars. Always heartbreaking and deadly voices like this with a battery that marks the time of death so fast that you never saw it coming. This Greek band that was formed in 2008 is here to stay and I really recommend this brutal piece of record.

Vehementor (North Macedonia)

Vehementor (North Macedonia)
CD."Dungeons of Grotesque Symmetry"

From North Macedonia comes a death sound influenced by thrash. Macedonoa's mother saw this great Vehementor band born. Practitioners of a metal with a renewed sound and very worked with a lot of melody present many of the themes of their album: "Dungeons of Grotesque Symmetry" from the year 2019, and which I can break down below so that later you can decide whether to give them the ok to hear and headbanging. This album was co-made on MurdHer Records in the country of the boot Italy with only 500 limited copies and went on sale specifically on June 24, 2019. Well sharpened guitars and basses, riff worked and very influenced by tup melodic death of yesteryear and in other songs you can hear how the bass always accompanies and they end up executing the most brutal thrash you can imagine. Quite brutal is the performance of the percussion where never a single note that this great drummer gives us can be wasted, and a colossal powerful and very well worked for the guttural, makes it an amalgam of sounds and a compendium of good characteristics as a band that are reflected in a final product that is their record of great invoice. 9 brutal melodic dark themes and extreme enough for the most demanding ears, I can particularly recommend you to be hooked, greetings and metal.

Gôr Mörgûl (Italy)

Gôr Mörgûl (Italy)
CD."Elohim"

2019 was a year that gave us a lot of metal the pre pandemic year where we would be able to hear so much brutal material from all over the planet, and it was so much that even in 2020 in the middle of the world situation we continue to appreciate brutal records from last year. Today I bring you "Elohim" from the overwhelming band (Gôr Mörgûl) practitioners of well-known blackened or black death metal style, whatever tastes or preferences define each one of this style, but they manage to combine the dark characteristics of the black sound with the brutality and the ruthless impact of death metal. The band manages to create a sound that transmits chaos, violence and hatred in the midst of the darkest atmosphere, thus achieving the true communion of these two extreme genres within the metal universe. A vocalization of 10 points always impressing you from theme to theme by advancing on the album, huge and super virtuous riffs, no bad performances, they are impeccable and admirable, a crushing bass according to the style and a drummer of another dimension never faints and reaches to report even more the global sound of the band. Important point to take into account his first theme: + I Begin, the second: + Elohim "namesake the album" and the third theme: + Portal To Underworld Each of these songs hook you or unhook you, depending on whether you liked the band or not, since they set the tone for the overall sound of the album. In general lines I recommend them excellent metal of great invoice, health and metal.

Abigorum (Russia / Germany)

Abigorum (Russia / Germany)

Abigorum the black doom metal band arrives with a powerful album to say presents on the extreme world scene. "Exaltatus Mechanism" is the name of the Cd. of the natives of Russia and Germany. 2019 has been an excellent year for all this extreme global movement. The two Label Satanath Records / Death Portal Studio continue to make an excellent choice for their signings. Exaltatus Mechanism (2019) is a great album a very dark atmosphere since they link two of the blackest styles within the world of metal, the album has a sound quite solid and very well achieved in every aspect incredible the brutality of it but at its Once all the darkness it casts is a true journey into the infernal abyss. Themes after very dark and brutal themes make it an excellent album to enjoy.

Solfernus (Czech Republic)

Solfernus (Czech Republic)

Solfernus “Neoantichrist”. What an awesome release! From the first track I understood what kind of material it will be! It is a sort of simple but powerful Blackened Metal which catches you from the first riff. Sometimes it’s a Black Metal blasting, sometimes it’s a pure Thrash attack, sometimes it’s a slow atmospheric grooving moment but always catching. Also, I should mention some interesting features as an acoustic flamenco guitar, atmospheric keys and guitar insertions and various vocals from clean to hysterical. Vocals has some unique Czech atmosphere, if you had heard at least Master’s Hammer or Root you know what I mean. By the way some musicians from Root are playing in SOLFERNUS. In conclusion, I recommend “Neoantichrist” to all fans of a good powerful Unholy Metal.

Zardens (Belgium)

Zardens (Belgium)

Zardens - Blackness Unfolds (2015) During the listening of “Blackness Unfolds” I had impression that it is some unknown DISSECTION’s material. After the atmospheric guitar intro the track “The Berserker” simply blows you head away. And so the other tracks are. Guitars show a different work from the grim arpeggio to the intensive Black Metal tremolo with a good melodies and atmosphere. And don’t forget a guitar leads! Sound of album is rather clear so even basslines could be checked. Basslines also have a good piece of melodies and makes material deeper and more interesting. Rhythmically we have variability from the thrashing moments and blasting to the slow groovy stuff. In conclusion: if you like DISSECTION you will like ZARDENS “Blackness Unfolds” exactly.
