Tenebra Arcana (Italy)

Tenebra Arcana (Italy)
CD."Martiri dell'odio"

"Martiri dell'odio" is the name of the album so essential for fans of melodic or symphonic black metal. A sound that surrounds you and consumes you the melody in this album is predominant and huge, COF Cradle of Flith lovers can love this band, from Italy we are getting a lot of band immersed in the extreme sound without leaving behind the melody and all that great symphonic sound that they know how to mix with the most ardent and dark hell of the world's extreme metal. The Heathen Black Metal Label "Vacula Production" continues to choose its signings very well and from Ukrania they always look for the best projects. The most melodic passages of this disc where they combine melodic and not so torn voices make a total atmosphere of darkness, songs sung in total Italian is a novelty for a market saturated with bands that only sing in English, few dare to sing in their language Natal and this bet really pleases me and makes this huge band interesting and very unique.

Inhibitions (Greece)

Inhibitions (Greece)

Inhibitions - La Danse Macabre this release of INHIBITION throws me right to the late 90’s and early 2000’s when some strange wave appears in the European scene. I mean mixing of Black Metal and Gothic. Yes, you can find on this LP with the same melodies, screaming voice with reverb and keys with some acoustic sound of the piano. Though there are no female voices for the full atmosphere of those years, ha-ha. Seriously, if some awful piano moments were eliminated INHIBITION can show you a pack of good guitar riffs somewhere in the middle of the LP which lets your head banging. But I don’t know why they put here cover on Satyricon’s K.I.N.G. – it’s really weak. In conclusion: you could listen this album with a bottle of a red wine and nostalgia about those past times. Or you could listen Ancient Ceremony… or Anorexia Nervosa… or something like that…
