CD."Rising Storm"
From Vienna Austria up to our 'Zine Winter's Breath a totally symphonic sound from start to finish where the most powerful black metal stands out but without losing the most melodic essence of the proposal. At times we walk through death sounds but with the melody in between, CD."Rising Storm" the ep that we are breaking down today is a material that is quite in line with the band, it never leaves its parameters and throughout its ten songs we It captures with this sound so deep more than music feelings of very dark nostalgia with a lot of atmosphere and projection of a very cold feeling. Within the genre for the year 2020 of the best that was released, let's remember that in 2021 the remastered version was released so that I wanted to get more juice out of this outrageous EP. In the strings section I highlight the riffs so violent and dark that they are usually hymns to darkness, in the same way an exact battery and of course a very correct and special voice for the keyboard setting that gives a brutal nuance to the project , highly recommended.
CD. Split “Two Worlds”
We continue with Winter’s Breath the brutal project from the capital of Austria, which blends between black and death with its great dose of melody. Today we review the split “Two Worlds” that they recorded with the band BAL in October 2021. On this occasion, the band participates with only two songs, which are still so brutal for only being two. The "Cursed" and "Hunter" quite elaborate and complete songs that when you listen to this split you realize that the band is evolving every time and makes this material super solid in terms of sound and musical proposal, they know very well what they want to play and what they want to transmit with their music and that is quite important within these styles that are linked to melody, a band that does not lose sight of the rage with which they play and does not allow itself to be soaked only by meaningless melody, guitars and always crushing bass, solid drums from beginning to end and a voice from the very grave to leave everything served to the dark atmosphere of the synthesizers as if it were an eternal funeral march, an excellent proposal.
CD. Split "Zwei Stimmen"
Winter's Breath present us this 2022 Split from the city of Vienna, a material that was released together with the band Withdraw. A song of more than 14 minutes "Zwei Stimmen" we could say an Ep. by itself because of the length of the song, which walks us through the entire musicl proposal of this great project, we enjoy black metal but in such a sublime way always with the present melody and at times we also have the aggressive death melody, but never tiring thanks to the enormous creativity of the mastermind behind all this. They also experimented with clean voices in the form of choirs that give it a rather dark nuance of black mass, and songs that gradually rise in tone, never leaving you indifferent, much less feeling monotonous because it really is a very intelligent way of presenting this proposal. If you like to experiment beyond the conventional within the darkest genre, this band is for you, dare to get to know them more.
