The
Sarcophagus - Beyond This World's Illusion (2017) The Sarcophagus is a Black
Metal band from Turkey. But if you think it full with traditional oriental
stuff you have totally mistaken. “Beyond This World's Illusion” shows a traditional
Black Metal like NAGLFAR or DARK FUNERAL but it sounds very convincing. Release
has a dark mystic atmosphere which made by good guitar work. Tracks are very
variable with unexpected changing of rhythm and full with excellent melodies.
Also there are some acoustic guitar parts sounding like calm before the storm.
And the proper word to describe the vocal is “poisonous” and it combines with
music very good. So “Beyond This World's Illusion” is a very powerful work
which I recommend to all fans of Black Metal who likes melodic stuff.
