NordWitch - Mørk Profeti (2016) NordWitch plays a sort of modern
mainstream metal with mixing of different genres. You can find here an
old-school Death Metal riffs, some mid-tempo Swedish Black Metal stuff and very
melodic almost classic Heavy Metal guitar leads. In general “Mørk Profeti” sounding
very melodic but nothing outstanding though has a good guitar works. Also I
don’t like vocal at all. It is a woman’s growling but the reason is not in a
gender. It is not powerful and simply dull; probably it is because of mixing
but voice didn’t remind me any witches… In conclusion: if you like different
melodic stuff probably you will like “Mørk Profeti”; guitars are really good,
but the whole release sounds slightly unsophisticated for me.

Draconian Oracle – (Full Demo) I found this demo accidentally and should
to say this’s really absolutely killer material! It includes only two tracks
and lasts some more 10 minutes but it totally involves you in its dark
atmosphere during this time. And the reason of it is simple – it is True and
Evil Black metal! If you are fan of 90’s Norwegian scene you will definitely
like raw archaic atmospheric sound of this demo with grim shrieking vocal. Long
simple mid-tempo guitar tremolos are catching you at once and hold till the
end. The second track has a short but beautiful guitar lead. The feature is
clean choir vocals entering sometimes and bringing a piece of ancient epic
atmosphere. It will be very interesting to hear full-length of Draconian Oracle
so I will wait for it.

The
wakening of the Deads by Pulmonar Recordables, death metal band from
Argentina. Fernando Casal (Drums) play a very well done death metal, with
traditional metal influences, I could see it in the track "Entering The
Hollow" , "Labyrinth", which starts with a killer drone and
great counter-tunes, "Lost In The Dark" Kindom Of Nothingness
"with a soft intro and soon after the beat," Viper's Nest "is
also another great track ... In short ... Death metal first, well
played, brutal and different, of course it could not stop. speak in the vocal
of Gerardo Vargas, very good and with influences of the best in the style ...
excellent albums of the Argentine brothers of the Draconis.

“Zombie Barbecue”
(independent) album 2014. Another great death metal band from Germany. Zombie
Barbecue shows off a very technical album as a line of ravaging guitars on 9
tracks from a brutally fucking Death Metal. The tracks "Zombie
Barbecue", the impactful "Schrei!" (the chorus doesn't go out of
his head), "Die Hure 3" which has some very heavy riffs,
"Walking Dead" (one of my favorites), overall an excellent album.
